Ansambl za novu muziku Gradilište iz Beograda osnovala je pijanistkinja Neda Hofman, krajem 2011. godine. Ideja za njegovo formiranje potekla je iz želje da se okupi grupa muzičara koji dele isti entuzijazam i afinitet prema savremenoj muzici, kao i iz potrebe da savremenu muziku u našoj zemlji kontinuirano izvodi kamerni ansambl stalnog sastava.
Gradilište ima dvadeset članova, od kojih su svi renomirani izvođači sa velikim iskustvom u interpretiranju savremenog repertoara. Oni nastupaju u različitim sastavima (od dua pa do velikih kamernih sastava), a sviraju i solistička dela.
Ansambl za novu muziku Gradilište bavi se izvođenjem i snimanjem kompozicija domaćih i stranih autora. Repertoar Gradilišta se sastoji od dela nastalih u toku 20. i 21. veka, koja reprezentuju razvoj moderne muzike, a koja su nedovoljno prisutna u koncertnom životu Beograda i Srbije. Pri tome, najmanje 50 posto nastupa Ansambla vezano je za domaću muziku. Gradilište naručuje kompozicije od odabranih domaćih i stranih autora, te tako i premijerno izvodi njihova dela.
Umetnički direktor i predsednik Gradilišta je Neda Hofman, a potpredsednik je Goran Marinković. Upravni odbor Ansambla čine Neda Hofman, Ana Radovanović, Vladimir Dinić, Srđan Sretenović i Goran Marinković.
Construction Site New Music Ensemble from Belgrade, Serbia, was founded in late 2011, by the pianist Neda Hofman. Her goal was to organize a group of musicians who shared the same interests and enthusiasm for modern music. The ensemble has twenty members who are all renowned performers with great experience in interpretation of contemporary repertoire. They play in different combinations (from duo to big chamber ensembles), and often perform soloist literature as well.
Their repertoire consists of 20th and 21st century music, especially of pieces that represent the historical development of modern music. Construction Site also realizes recordings of compositions written by Serbian and international authors. The ensemble regularly performs pieces of music dedicated to them.
In the concert season 2011/2012, the Construction Site Ensemble had successful performances at international festivals such as BEMUS and the International Composers’ Review in Belgrade, Serbia. Members of the ensemble took part in the first performances of two Serbian operas (Tatjana Milošević’s Who Killed Princess Mond and Branka Popović’s Petersburg). They also participated in the youth composers’ festival KOMA.In 2013, they were engaged in the highly successful staging of Arnold Schoenberg’s Pierrot lunaire directed by Aleksandar Nikolić at Madlenianum Theatre.
